About This Drink
Kaineken Pale Ale is the anchor of Õllenaut's non-alcoholic range, produced at the Estonian craft brewery's home in Saku. The Kaineken lineup was built around a new-generation yeast designed to brew at low alcohol directly, preserving hop character and malt complexity without the processing that can flatten a beer. It pours a cloudy amber with a notably thick, frothy white head. The aroma is earthy and malt-forward, with a worty bitterness and lighter floral and citrus notes. On the palate, the hop bitterness is the dominant force, punchy and upfront, with lemon and orange peel coming through the mid-palate over a subtle malt sweetness. The finish is crisp and bitter. It has more backbone than many non-alcoholic pale ales, which tend to err on the watery side. A straightforward pub-style pale for those who want some weight and bitterness in their glass.
