Free Damm Tostada

A 0.0% toasted amber lager from Damm, built around roasted malt rather than pale grain, with coffee and cocoa character and a smooth bitter finish.

About This Drink

Free Damm Tostada is the darker end of Damm's alcohol-free range. Where the core Free Damm is built on pale grain, this one leads with toasted cereal malt, giving it the coffee and cocoa aromas you'd expect from an amber. The alcohol is removed via vacuum distillation to reach 0.0%. It pours a sparkling reddish amber with a creamy head. Coffee and cocoa come through clearly on the nose with a pleasant caramel note. The palate is fuller than most AF lagers manage: toasted cereal at the centre, gentle sweetness, and a herbal freshness underneath that keeps things from getting too heavy. The finish is smooth with a subtle bitterness that lingers. A more interesting proposition than most alcohol-free lagers if you want something with a bit of roast character.
