About This Drink
Paraglow is the more ambitious end of Alefarm's alcohol-free range. The double dry-hop process, using Simcoe, Strata, and Azacca, intensifies aroma and flavour without adding bitterness, which is the point of DDH as a technique. The grain bill of barley, oat, and wheat malt gives the beer a hazy, soft body to carry all that hop character. It pours deep hazy gold, thick with suspended hop oils. The aroma is generous: ripe peach, pineapple, and citrus peel up front, with Simcoe's pine resin giving some grounding depth underneath. On the palate peach and passionfruit lead, citrus brightness sits underneath, and the oat malt rounds the texture out to something silky. Bitterness is present but soft, keeping the finish from becoming cloying. Drink it fresh. Like most DDH beers, the hop character fades as it ages, and this one is worth catching at its most vivid.
