About This Drink
Zeronic Fresh White takes the same format as the Fancy Red but in a white wine direction: dealcoholised Grüner Veltliner from Burgenland paired with an apricot tonic. The Grüner brings the structure, mineral quality and that characteristic white pepper note; the apricot tonic adds ripe stone fruit sweetness and the effervescence. The tonic uses quassla wood extract rather than quinine, keeping the bitterness subtle. Fully alcohol-free throughout. The colour is pale straw with active bubbles. Fresh apricot and peach come through on the nose, with the Grüner's lemon zest and white pepper underneath. On the palate stone fruit sits forward and the acidity from the wine component keeps the sweetness in check, so it reads dry rather than fruity-sweet despite the apricot tonic. The carbonation is lively and keeps the drink feeling bright. The finish is crisp with a clean citrus note. It is a lighter, more casual format than Zeronimo's bottled wines, suited to summer or as something quick to pour from the fridge.
