What comes out pours smooth and non-carbonated, deeper in hue than you might expect from a cranberry drink, the colour coming from black carrot juice alongside real cranberry and lime juice from concentrate. It sits in a martini glass convincingly. On the nose, cranberry and grapefruit peel come through cleanly with bitter orange underneath. The palate is cranberry-forward, but juniper berry and quinine pull it away from fruit-drink territory and towards something more considered. There is a spice note in the background that keeps the sweetness honest. The finish is acidic and fresh, with bitter orange carrying through.
