Fierce are an Aberdeen brewery with a proper craft background, and Cerveza is their take on the Mexican lager format at 0.5%. It pours crystal clear pale straw with a short white head - exactly the visual you'd expect from the style. The aroma is lightly grainy with a lift of fresh lime zest. On the palate there's a faint sweetness, a soft malt base and the lime note carries through to the finish, which is brief and clean. The carbonation is gentle rather than fizzy, and the body is light without feeling thin. A straightforward, uncomplicated lager. Vegan and gluten-free.
