Fierce
Fierce Beer started as a home-brewing project in Aberdeen, fuelled by the bold flavours coming out of West Coast American craft breweries. They went commercial in 2016 and haven't looked back since.
The brewery sits in Dyce, just outside Aberdeen, where they moved in 2022 after outgrowing their original space. Two taproom bars followed: one in Aberdeen's historic harbour area and another on Edinburgh's Rose Street. The Aberdeen location pours twenty taps of their own beer alongside guest brews, cocktails and whisky.
Fierce made its name with punchy, flavour-forward beers. Their range runs from easy-drinking pilsners through hop-heavy pales to barrel-aged imperial stouts. Gluten-free options feature prominently across the core lineup.
The alcohol-free selection shows similar ambition. Cerveza 0.5 puts a lime-tinged spin on Mexican lager, light and crisp with genuine refreshment. Fancy Juice delivers hazy pale ale character at half a percent. Peach Fuzz brings fruit-forward flavours without the alcohol. There's even a collaboration with Aberdeen Football Club, the 1983 Lager, celebrating the club's famous European trophy.
The brewery earned recognition as Scottish Brewery of the Year in 2021, building on earlier wins at the Scottish Beer Awards. That track record helped establish them as one of the northeast's most respected craft producers.
You can order direct from their website or visit either bar. Their beers also turn up in independent bottle shops and select supermarkets across Scotland. For craft beer fans in Aberdeen and beyond, Fierce delivers consistent quality whether you're after full strength or alcohol-free.
