BezalkØ Pan IPAni
Alcohol-free wheat IPA version of Trzech Kumpli's flagship beer, hopped with six varieties including Sabro and Talus for an unusually tropical, coconut-tinged aroma.
About This Drink
Pan IPAni is Trzech Kumpli's best-known beer in Poland. The BezalkØ version, released in May 2024, was a long time in development: the brewery wanted the hop character of the original to come through intact, which is harder than it sounds at sub-0.5% ABV. Six hop varieties are involved: Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo, Sabro, Talus, and Columbus. The result is a fruit-heavy nose of mango, passion fruit, and sweet orange, with Sabro and Talus lending an unusual coconut and stone fruit note on top. The grain bill uses pilsner malt, wheat malt, wheat flakes, and oat flakes, giving it a soft, rounded body rather than the watery finish that can undermine alcohol-free wheat beers. On the palate, mango and passion fruit come first, then a measured bitterness at 30 IBUs closes things out. Hazy pale gold, medium-bodied, and noticeably flavourful for a 0.0% wheat IPA.
