Trzech Kumpli
Trzech Kumpli started the way many craft breweries do: three school friends brewing in a kitchen in Tarnów, Poland. What began as a hobby grew into one of Poland's most respected craft operations, now brewing in Żywiec and consistently ranking among Europe's best.
Their alcohol-free range, branded "Unplugged" (BezalkØ in Polish), applies proper craft brewing techniques to the NA category. Each beer mirrors a full-strength style, aiming to deliver the same character without the alcohol. The Pan IPAni BezalkØ brought home silver from the 2024 International Beer Cup in Japan, while their Oatmeal Stout BezalkØ has earned recognition as among the best non-alcoholic beers in Europe.
The Oatmeal Stout deserves special mention. Saturated with nitrogen instead of carbon dioxide, it pours with that creamy cascade familiar to stout drinkers, while oat flakes give it a velvety texture. It's the kind of considered approach that distinguishes craft AF beer from corporate box-ticking.
Trzech Kumpli also produces a true 0.0% option with their Citrus APA Unplugged, using methods they developed in-house to achieve complete alcohol removal through brewing technique rather than post-fermentation processing.
Distribution remains strongest in Poland and Central Europe, though specialist importers bring their beers to other markets. A small brewery doing serious work in a category still dominated by big brands playing catch-up.
