About This Drink
Glug is built to the cerveza template, which means a lighter body, cleaner fermentation and a grain bill that includes corn for that subtle masa note. Brewed to 0.5% from the start, with the whole thing designed to be easy to drink without being empty. The taste has more going on than the style suggests. There's a layered malt backbone with genuine substance, followed by candied lime and a faint gooseberry note from the hops. It doesn't taste stripped or thin, and it avoids the hollow sweetness that catches out a lot of alcohol-free lagers trying to compensate. The finish is crisp and dry. Carbonation is moderate and clean. For an AF lager with some actual character to it, this is one of the better options in the category.
