About This Drink
Zen is dry hopped with Krush and Mosaic varieties from Yakima Chief, which gives the nose an orange zest and ripe peach character with some pine behind it. On the palate, the citrus carries through, and a micro-dose of Bluntrock's fermented chilli blend does something genuinely useful here: it adds warmth and fills out the mouthfeel in the way that alcohol would ordinarily help with. It pours lightly hazy pale gold. The finish is moderately bitter and clean, with no residual sweetness. At 0.5%, it has more going on than most AF pale ales: the hop bill and the chilli addition are doing real work rather than just dressing up thin base liquid.
