The Quiet XPA is the beer that put Heaps Normal on the map. An unfiltered extra pale ale brewed with water, malt, hops, and yeast, nothing artificial added. It pours hazy gold with a white head that holds well. On the nose, guava and passionfruit layer over a biscuity malt backdrop. The palate follows through with tropical citrus, a soft but present bitterness, and a light caramel sweetness from the malt. The body is lean and lively, with carbonation that keeps things crisp without feeling sharp. The finish is clean and dry, with a pleasant hop linger. At 0.5% ABV, it sits in line with the rest of the Heaps Normal core range.
