Lyre's Italian Orange is a zero-proof bitter orange aperitif inspired by Italian aperitivo bitters. It is built from natural flavourings, grape juice concentrate, and carrot juice concentrate for colour, arriving at a deeply pigmented, intensely orange spirit alternative. The nose is blood orange and red citrus, bold and direct, with a background note of maraschino that keeps it from being purely bitter. On the palate, blood orange dominates and the bitterness arrives cleanly, balanced by a sweetness from maraschino and soft fruit. The finish is dry and distinctly pithy, with orange peel bitterness that lingers. One of the essential building blocks for non-alcoholic cocktails in the aperitivo style. Combined with Aperitif Rosso and Dry London, it forms the basis of a zero-proof Negroni. Diluted with soda over ice it works as a simple aperitif in its own right.
