About This Drink

The blend here is Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, both from certified organic vineyards. After conventional vinification the alcohol is removed via a proprietary dealcoholisation process. The Cabernet brings structure and some green pepper character; the Tempranillo contributes the red and black fruit. The colour is vibrant ruby with a salmon-pink edge. Dark fruit - blackberry, raspberry, plum - sits alongside spice and a touch of crisp cherry. There's genuine tannin here, which gives the wine some grip, and the mouthfeel is fuller than a lot of alcohol-free reds manage. The finish is long by the standards of the category. If you're looking for a dealcoholised red that actually feels like red wine rather than grape juice with ideas above its station, this is one of the better options around.
