About This Drink

First Flush Darjeeling has a particular fragrance: floral, stone-fruited, with a delicacy that comes from the early-season harvest. That character transfers well into a sparkling format, giving REAL Sec a more perfumed, aromatic quality than the other drinks in the range. It pours pale straw with soft carbonation. The nose is fragrant: stone fruit, grape, a floral lift. On the palate it's light and soft, with white peach and rhubarb up front, a touch of blackcurrant in the middle, and a long, gently sweet finish. The acidity is present but quiet, which makes it the most approachable of the REAL lineup. At 0.5% ABV and four ingredients, it's a good option if the sharper, drier style of Dry doesn't appeal. Soft enough to drink on its own, but not so simple it disappears.
