About This Drink
Carl Jung's Chardonnay is made from Spanish Chardonnay grapes, dealcoholised using the brand's patented vacuum extraction technique. Developed over a century ago in Rüdesheim am Rhein, the method draws alcohol from the wine at low temperature, keeping the aromatic profile largely intact. The wine pours pale gold with a light, clear appearance. On the nose it is fresh and restrained: lemon, green apple and a faint floral note. The palate is crisp and lightly tart, with citrus peel and a hint of apricot in the mid-palate. It drinks dry with a short, clean finish. A straightforward white with enough character to hold up to food. Nothing showy, but it does what a simple Chardonnay should.
