Equinox Turmeric, Lemon & Ginger takes the citrus-led lemon base and loads it with three additional ingredients: organic turmeric juice, organic ginger juice, and black pepper. The black pepper is a considered choice: it improves curcumin absorption from the turmeric, a well-established pairing. On the palate this translates to something genuinely layered. The lemon comes first, bright and clean. Ginger follows in the mid-palate with a soft heat. The turmeric adds an earthy, slightly bitter note in the background that rounds out the kombucha acidity.
