About This Drink
Like the pale 0,0, the Torrada goes through full fermentation before alcohol is removed by low-temperature evaporation. The toasted malt base is what sets it apart - dark amber in colour, with a short-lived white head and noticeably more body than you get from a standard alcohol-free lager. The nose leads with roasted barley and caramel, coffee underneath, a hint of liquorice. That carries through to the palate, where bitterness stays light at 20 IBUs and the toasted cereal takes centre stage. It finishes dry, with a clean roasted grain fade. The fuller texture sets it apart from the pale version and from most alcohol-free lagers generally.
