About This Drink
Rye Style is the most forward of Sobour's alcohol-free expressions. It's built on Cairngorm spring water with botanical extracts and distillates shaped around rye character rather than straight bourbon. The aroma is confident: toasty malted rye, a suggestion of tobacco spice, and apricot over a caramel and oak base. The palate backs this up with a peppery bite from charred American oak, then honey and toffee sweetness as it settles. The finish dries out with lingering spice and a gradual caramel fade. It's the one in the range with the most assertive character. The rye-forward profile gives it more edge than the Doublewood, which might suit those who find vanilla-led spirits a bit soft.
