Trail Pass Brewveza is a cerveza-style lager from Sierra Nevada's non-alcoholic range. The style is light and designed to be undemanding: 35 IBUs, a clean hop presence, and a grain-forward base that doesn't try to do anything complicated. Like the rest of the Trail Pass lineup, it's brewed conventionally to land below 0.5% ABV from the start, so no dealcoholisation is involved. It pours a medium gold with a frothy white head. The nose has a light lemon citrus quality from the hops and a clean grainy malt base. On the palate the flavour is mild: gentle malt sweetness, a soft hop bite, easy carbonation. Nothing complex, and that's clearly the intention. The occasion it's going for is a cold lager on a hot day. At what it is, it delivers.
