About This Drink
Sabro is one of the more unusual hops to come out of the US breeding programme, carrying a distinctive coconut character alongside tropical fruit and citrus. Paired with Galaxy, which amplifies the pineapple and passionfruit, the two varieties produce something vivid and tropical that doesn't taste like most IPAs. The grain bill of Pilsner, Pale Ale, Flaked Wheat, and Oats builds a soft, slightly creamy base that lets the hops carry the beer. The pour is golden and hazy with persistent head. On the palate, coconut from the Sabro lands early, followed by ripe pineapple and passionfruit, with citrus-led bitterness closing it out. The oats add a slight creaminess without making it heavy. The finish is dry with a lingering tropical note. The Sabro coconut character is polarising for some, but if that's your thing this is one of the more interesting AF IPAs around.
