The aroma is roasted barley, dark chocolate, and fresh coffee, with a faint earthy note from the traditional British varieties. On the palate, coffee and cocoa come through first, then the Fuggles and East Kent Goldings add earthy spice and a herbal note, while Cascade throws in a light citrus lift. The rolled oats give the body a silky, rounded quality that separates it from a typical dry stout. The finish is clean and dry, with roast and a gentle spicy hop fade.
