El Dorado, Citra and Mosaic give Loris a tropical lean from the first pour. The aroma is mango and tangerine with a grassy freshness underneath, and the hazy pale gold colour sets expectations correctly: this is an oat-softened, approachable pale ale rather than anything sharp or aggressively bitter. The grain bill includes barley, wheat and oats, which lend the body a slight creaminess and keep the mouthfeel from feeling thin. Bitterness is present and in balance but fades quickly into a clean, dry finish. There's no sweetness dragging on the back end. Vegan-friendly and sessionable at 0.5%. It's a well-made hazy pale that doesn't overreach.
