Coba Maya Cerveza
Big Drop's Mexican-style lager, brewed with barley, oats and rice to under 0.5% ABV. Pale straw gold, crisp and clean with herbal noble hop character.
About This Drink
Coba Maya takes aim at the Mexican-style cerveza: low bitterness, clean palate, light grain character, built to be served ice-cold. The grain bill uses barley, oats and rice alongside lactose, which adds a little body without sweetness. German Hallertau Hersbrucker hops keep the bitterness restrained and bring the herbal, spicy character that's typical of noble hop varieties. It pours very pale, straw gold and clear. The aroma is subtle: herbal hop notes, quiet malt background. On the palate it's crisp and clean, with balanced malt that neither dominates nor disappears and a restrained bitterness. The finish is short and clean. At 12 kcal per 100ml it's among the lowest-calorie options in the Big Drop range. Serve well chilled with a lime if you're following the tradition.
