Fre Rosé is made from California grapes before the alcohol is removed via spinning cone column, coming in below 0.5% ABV. The extracted aromatics and some unfermented grape juice go back into the dealcoholised base, adding a little sweetness and body. Strawberry is the dominant note both on the nose and palate, with citrus brightness running alongside it that stops the fruit from feeling heavy. Among the Fre range it is on the lighter, fresher end, with the finish being clean and short rather than lingering. It does not pretend to be something more complex than it is. Serve well-chilled. Easy alongside grilled fish or a summer salad, or on its own when you want something simple and pink.
