The alcohol is removed via vacuum distillation, which keeps the process at low temperatures to hold onto as much flavour as possible. The result is a light-bodied red that leads with plum and red berries, with a faint chocolate note in the background and some spice rounding it out. The mouthfeel is on the lighter side, which is fairly typical for dealcoholised red wine. The finish turns tart rather than staying with the fruit, so it doesn't linger the way a full red would. It's a reasonable everyday option if you want something red and dry without the alcohol, and being M&S own-label it's easy enough to find in-store.
