Free Damm Lemon is roughly 70% dealcoholised Free Damm lager mixed with a citrus soft drink, finished with a small addition of actual lemon juice. The lager base carries over the grain backbone and enough hop bitterness to stop it reading purely as a soft drink. It pours pale gold with a white head. Lemon is the dominant note throughout, with a zingy lime edge and fresh citrus zest on the nose. There's bread malt underneath if you look for it, and the carbonation is gentle rather than fizzy. The bitterness in the finish is what separates it from a lemonade shandy. Somewhere between a beer and a long drink. Works well when you want something citrus-forward and cold rather than a straight lager.
