Leffe Blonde 0.0% follows the same recipe as the full-strength original, with the alcohol removed via dealcoholisation. AB InBev brews it under the Leffe abbey ale name, which traces back to a Belgian monastery tradition even if the current product is very much a commercial operation. The aroma is floral and lightly spiced with vanilla and clove coming through clearly. On the palate there's honey and orange alongside the sweet malt backbone, and a trace of smokiness in the background that adds a bit of depth. The mouthfeel is on the lighter side and slightly syrupy, which is typical for dealcoholised beers. The finish is smooth and easy drinking without much lingering bitterness. It sits comfortably in the gateway end of the alcohol-free abbey ale category. If you know the Blonde style, you'll recognise it; if you don't, it's a useful introduction.
