Zero Sparkling NV
Dealcoholised Australian sparkling wine at 0.5% ABV, golden straw with persistent fine bubbles and pear and stone fruit on the nose.
About This Drink
Wolf Blass Zero Sparkling is the fizz entry in the Zero range, dealcoholised from South Australian wine to 0.5% ABV. It picked up a bronze at the 2022 Hobart Wine Show. The nose has dried pear, caramelised peach and cut straw, with some brioche and gentle nuttiness underneath. On the palate, dried pear and grilled pineapple carry through with a reasonable balance of sweetness and acidity. The bubbles are persistent and the mouthfeel has more texture than a lot of dealcoholised sparkling wine, which can often feel quite thin. There's a tart apple-driven acidity on the finish that keeps it from going cloying. One of the better options in the alcohol-free sparkling category, which has improved considerably in recent years.
