Tucker's West Coast IPA is Athletic's take on the California standard. Where the hazy New England style softens bitterness and leans into soft fruit, the West Coast approach is cleaner and drier, letting the hop character work without the smoothness of oats or wheat to cushion it. Clear golden amber in the glass with a thin white head. The aroma is resinous, leading with pine and citrus peel before grapefruit and orange emerge underneath. On the palate it's balanced but unambiguous: citrus and pine dominate, the malt is restrained and neutral, and a firm hop bitterness provides the structure. Tropical fruit notes appear mid-palate then fade. The finish is dry and clean with a classic West Coast resinous bite that lingers without turning harsh. Brewed with malted barley, wheat, hops, and yeast. Good alongside burgers, pizza, or anything with char or spice.
