About This Drink
Floreale sits in the same family as Vibrante but goes lighter and more floral. The base is de-alcoholised wine, infused with botanicals centred on Roman chamomile and artemisia, which pulls it firmly into white vermouth territory rather than anything fruity or sweet-forward. It pours pale gold and the nose is led by chamomile, with elderflower-like softness and a trace of anise. On the palate there's soft pear, a light citrus thread, and herbal bitterness that arrives quietly at the end. The sweetness is noticeable but the botanicals keep it anchored. It reads more like a grown-up aperitivo than a cordial, which is harder to achieve without alcohol than it sounds. The finish is gentle: chamomile, a breath of tartness, and not much else. It works over ice with tonic or sparkling water, and takes aromatic garnishes well.
