Mai Tai
Alcohol-free RTD cocktail from A. Le Coq taking its cues from the classic Mai Tai. Orange juice concentrate at the base with almond essence giving the drink its characteristic nutty sweetness.
About This Drink
The original Mai Tai leans on orgeat, the almond syrup that gives the cocktail its distinctive sweetness. This version uses almond essence to similar effect, pairing it with orange juice concentrate rather than purely synthetic flavour. The result is tropical and sweet-sour, with the almond note showing through clearly in the background. It is the more layered of the Le Coq Virgin range. Citrus acidity does enough work to balance the sweetness without the drink tipping into cloying territory. Serve cold over ice.
