Crossip positions Pure Hibiscus as their answer to Campari and Aperol, and the flavour profile tracks that intention fairly closely. Hibiscus gives the opening notes: floral and slightly tart. Cubeb pepper, clove, and pine add complexity underneath. The bitterness builds through the palate. Wormwood and cayenne are in the finish, and both are noticeable without being aggressive. There's enough structure here to stand up in a Spritz or a Negroni-style build without being overwhelmed by other ingredients.
