Most of the Infinite Session range leans on American hop varieties for tropical fruit and citrus. The Pils goes the other way, using Hallertau and Saaz for the herbal, spicy character associated with Czech and German pilsners. Like the rest of the range it's brewed to strength rather than dealcoholised, which helps the malt and hop character hold together. It pours clear golden with active carbonation. The aroma is floral and grassy, with soft spice from the Saaz and a low, gentle malt sweetness underneath. On the palate the malt stays in the background, a quiet biscuit note that supports the hops without competing. Bitterness is restrained and the finish is dry and clean, with a brief herbal note at the end. The texture is smoother than most commercial lagers at full strength.
