About This Drink
Myth Dark Spiced leans hard into the dark rum archetype. The cane base is flavoured with treacle, ginger and black pepper, and vegetable glycerine gives it a soft weight in the glass that helps it feel more like a spirit and less like flavoured water. The nose is rich and rum-adjacent: molasses, vanilla and a faint earthiness. On the palate, burnt sugar hits first, then ginger climbs through the mid-palate with a proper fiery quality. It finishes dry with lingering liquorice. The spicing is assertive but balanced; it doesn't tip into cough syrup territory. The obvious serve is over ice with cola or ginger ale, where the dark cane character carries well. It also holds up in longer cocktails where you'd normally reach for a spiced rum.
