Myth started with a smoke-filled cloche in Dublin. Founder Colette Safhill, a therapist who hadn't drunk alcohol in nearly two decades, ordered an alcohol-free Old Fashioned at The Bull & Castle. It arrived under a glass dome billowing with theatrical smoke. That moment of genuine occasion, the same attention to detail given to alcoholic cocktails, planted the seed for what became Myth.
The brand launched with immediate impact. Within the first month, Myth won a Gold Medal and Trophy from the IWSC for best zero-alcohol spirit. The Free From Food Awards followed with Christmas Drink of the Year. For a newcomer to beat established players so quickly suggested something genuinely different was happening.
Two expressions anchor the range. The Coconut White Cane Spirit takes aim at Malibu territory: naturally coconut-flavoured, light, and versatile. Mix with pineapple juice for something tropical, lengthen with soda, or use in cocktails that call for white rum. The Spiced Dark Cane Spirit goes deeper: sweet molasses backbone with fiery ginger and black pepper warmth. Reviewers consistently note how close it comes to traditional spiced rum.
