About This Drink
The grapes come from the Western Cape's Coastal Region, picked by hand before dealcoholisation via vacuum spinning cone — a process that works at low temperatures to protect the wine's aromatics. It sits at under 0.5% ABV. It pours a deep, opaque purple. The nose brings blackcurrant, dark cherry, and a cedary oak note, and the palate follows in a similar direction with jammy plum and black cherry at the centre. Tannins are low and the texture is silky, which makes it more approachable than many red wine approximations. The finish is short and clean, fading quickly on fruit. For a dealcoholised red, it holds together reasonably well. The oak integration is light but present, and the fruit reads as genuine rather than sweetened.
