A 0.0% lager from India's most recognisable beer brand, using hop fractionation to rebuild the body and aroma that dealcoholisation strips away.
About This Drink
The production method here is genuinely interesting. Kingfisher used hop fractionation after dealcoholisation, layering different hop fractions (including Saaz and Nectaron products) to restore structural balance. That's more involved than most AF lagers, which tend to taste flat and thin because nobody bothered to compensate for what alcohol removal takes out. It pours pale golden with a modest white head. The aroma is lightly malty with a delicate floral note from the hops. On the palate, mild malt sweetness comes through first, with gentle citrus and a measured bitterness that keeps it from feeling watery. The body is light but not hollow, and the carbonation is clean and even. The finish is short. If you're after complexity, look elsewhere. As a low-fuss lager that works well ice-cold alongside spicy food, it does the job without drawing attention to itself.
