Implosion

A 0.3% hazy IPA from Danish brewery To Øl, brewed with Citra and Mosaic and kept alcohol-free naturally through a specialist low-alcohol yeast.

About This Drink

To Øl brew Implosion using a specialist yeast that stops fermentation before much alcohol develops, which means nothing gets stripped out afterwards. The grain bill is Maris Otter, wheat and oats, giving the beer enough body to carry the hops. Citra, Mosaic, Hallertau Blanc and Tettnanger do the flavour work: there's a big tropical hit up front, mango, peach and passionfruit, with grapefruit and lemon threading through underneath. The body is noticeably soft and rounded for a 0.3% beer. Bitterness is present but measured, giving the fruit something to sit against without cutting across it. The finish is clean with a faint sweetness. Pours hazy pale gold with a lively white head.
