Funky Fluid's Gelato series takes its inspiration from Italian ice cream, and the raspberry variant keeps things focused. A single-fruit non-alcoholic sour brewed with real raspberry additions rather than flavouring. The pour is pink-tinged and hazy, with a light, quickly fading head. Fresh raspberry jumps from the glass: bright, jammy and slightly tart, with a lactic undercurrent supporting it without obscuring the fruit. On the palate, raspberry runs the whole show. The sourness is measured, sweet enough to feel indulgent but tart enough to keep each sip lively. It sits somewhere between a sour ale and a fruit sorbet in character.
