About This Drink
Kaineken Suitsu Porter is the most distinctive beer in Õllenaut's non-alcoholic range. Suitsu is Estonian for 'smoked', and the beer is built on smoked malt alongside dark roasted grain. It is brewed in Saku using Õllenaut's low-alcohol yeast approach, which ferments directly at low ABV to retain body and aroma. It pours deep brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is immediately dark and smoky: wood-smoke, roasted coffee, and dark chocolate, with a background note of rye bread. The palate follows closely, with toasted malt, bitter cocoa, and a gently smoky thread running through. The smoke is real but not aggressive; it sits alongside the roast rather than overriding it. At 27 kcal per 100ml it carries more substance than the lighter beers in the range, and the medium body and slight viscosity give it some presence in the glass. The finish is dry and smoky with a lingering roast bitterness. The Suitsu Porter is the most interesting beer Õllenaut make, and worth seeking out if you have any interest in dark or smoked beer styles.
