About This Drink
On Dry Land was Alefarm's entry into alcohol-free IPA, brewed in Greve, Denmark with barley, oat, and wheat malt. The hop selection is modern and deliberately expressive: Citra Spectrum pushes mango and passionfruit; El Dorado CGX adds a sweeter, melon-like note. Both go in via whirlpool addition, which preserves aroma without loading the beer with bitterness. It pours hazy pale amber. The aroma is vivid and tropical, with the oat malt contributing a slight softness to the body that stops it feeling watery. On the palate the fruit carries through faithfully, and there's genuine bitterness drying through the mid-palate and into a clean finish. At 0.5% it holds its own better than most alcohol-free IPAs. The haze and aroma come through best in a tulip or IPA glass rather than straight from the can.
