Holy Faith is Northern Monk's best-known alcohol-free beer, developed as a proper AF counterpart to the Faith pale ale rather than a cut-down version. It was the first non-alcoholic beer to win three stars at the Great Taste Awards, which gives some indication of how much care went into getting it right. The pour is hazy golden with a gentle white head. Citra Cryo and El Dorado come through clearly on the nose — lemongrass, mango, grapefruit zest, a light peppery warmth. The tropical fruit character is vivid without tipping into artificial sweetness. On the palate, juicy citrus and stone fruit sit over a bready malt base, with oats adding body and a quiet creaminess. The bitterness is measured, enough to balance the fruit without sharpness. The finish is clean and slightly dry, with citrus peel lingering after the sip.
