About This Drink
Grenache is the grape behind many southern French rosés, and it lends this Eisberg a recognisable strawberry-forward character. The wine is fully made then the alcohol is removed by vacuum distillation, which keeps the fruit intact reasonably well. It pours a light blush pink. The nose opens with fresh strawberry and a hint of watermelon, soft and immediately approachable. The palate is light-bodied and easy-drinking, with gentle fruit sweetness and minimal tannin, so the texture stays smooth throughout. The finish is clean with a soft fruit fade. There isn't much complexity here, and it doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. It's a simple, drinkable alcohol-free rosé that suits warm weather and unpretentious occasions.
