Le Spritz Lime & Salt takes Ghia's bitter botanical base and cuts it with fresh lime juice and sea salt. The logic is the same as a margarita: lime sharpens the sweetness, salt amplifies every other flavour, and the bitterness from gentian and rhubarb root ties it together. Poured over ice it smells of fresh lime zest, yuzu and a faint marine saltiness. The first sip is sharp and tart, lime juice and lime peel extract working together for a double citrus hit. Elderflower provides a floral sweetness before the gentian closes the mid-palate with a clean bitterness. The salt appears on the finish, enhancing the citrus and leaving a mineral, savoury dryness.
