About This Drink
Lyre's Agave Blanco sets out to approximate the character of a silver blanco tequila using natural flavourings, agave syrup, and a balance of citrus and earthy spice. There is no fermentation involved — it is a flavour construction that gestures towards the brightness and edge of an unaged tequila. The nose is fresh and direct: lemon zest, agave nectar, and a faint chamomile note with saline and piney herbal undertones. On the palate, citrus comes forward first, followed by roasted agave and a kick of white pepper. The texture is clean and relatively light, and the finish is dry-leaning and short, with a mild peppery warmth that lingers. It holds up well in cocktail applications where tequila would normally appear. A margarita or paloma built with Agave Blanco works naturally, the citrus acidity of lime or grapefruit pairing well with its earthy, mineral base. Best served cold and mixed rather than neat.
