Lyre's Dry London is one of the flagship products in the range and one of the more widely available non-alcoholic gin alternatives on the market. It uses glucose syrup, natural flavourings including quinine from cinchona bark, and citric acid to approximate the botanical complexity of a London dry gin. The nose is genuinely lifted: orange blossom, lime, jasmine, and juniper come through clearly, with a thread of fresh mint and pepperberry adding structure. On the palate, juniper and citrus dominate, with earthy mid-palate notes and a vinous quality that rounds the body. Pepperberry adds warmth. The finish is dry and clean with lingering juniper. Over ice with tonic water and a slice of lime, it behaves as you would expect a gin alternative to behave. The juniper backbone holds up to bold mixers and it works particularly well in a non-alcoholic Negroni alongside Aperitif Rosso and Italian Orange.
