Buttercup Pale Ale
Double dry-hopped alcohol-free pale ale using TNS hop technology, with Galaxy, Citra Floe, Nectaron, and Magnifico driving tropical fruit and citrus aroma.
About This Drink
Buttercup is Nirvana's most hop-forward pale. It uses TNS hop technology, which concentrates hop aroma compounds without the alcohol, and two separate dry hop additions make the most of that. Galaxy and Citra Floe go in first with bold tropical notes; Nectaron and Magnifico follow with ripe peach, lychee, and zesty citrus. It pours a golden amber with a light haze and a frothy white head. The aroma is immediately expressive, citrus peel and tropical fruit with a gentle pine undercurrent. On the palate it is crisp and hop-forward, the fruit notes carrying cleanly through to a moderately bitter finish. The body is light and the carbonation lively. If aroma is what you're after in an alcohol-free pale, this makes a strong case.
