Astro-Nought
Beavertown's 0.5% lager, hoppier than most in the style, with tangerine and lemon citrus and a clean tart finish.

Pours very pale straw with a slight haze and brisk carbonation. The aroma is understated: bready barley and a quiet hint of hop greenery, with subtle citrus just about detectable underneath. This is not a beer that announces itself from the glass. On the palate it's more interesting than it looks. Tangerine and lemon come through first, with a grassy hop bitterness that's noticeable for the lager category. There's a subtle cereal sweetness underneath, and the lime freshness does show itself in the mid-palate without being overdone. The body is light with lively carbonation, and the finish is tart and clean. It sits alongside Lazer Crush in Beavertown's low and no range. Where Lazer Crush is tropical and IPA-forward, Astro-Nought is the lighter, more sessionable option. Craft lager fans expecting something close to Gamma Ray will find it leaner, but as a low-alcohol beer it does exactly what it's supposed to.
