Presence is a 100% organic alcohol-free white wine made from a blend of Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Sylvaner, Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc, drawn from both Alsace and the South of France. The grapes are naturally fermented in stainless steel and aged for twelve months before low-temperature dealcoholisation, following the same approach Oddbird applies across their range. The nose is aromatic and varied: fresh lemon and citrus zest come forward, lifted by floral spice and a herbal edge. On the palate, tropical fruit takes over, pineapple and guava sitting alongside ripe pear and pink grapefruit. The finish is crisp and mineral, with a distinctive salinity that keeps it from drifting into sweetness. Five grape varieties is ambitious, and the result is more complex than most alcohol-free whites. The mix of Alsace aromatics and southern fruit character gives it breadth, though at times it leans toward a fruit salad quality. Worth trying if you want something more than a single-varietal approach.
